Earth Day Workshop: Crumb Quilting with Receipt Paper!

Let's celebrate our beautiful blue marble this Earth Day by turning everyday paper waste into colorful, meaningful quilts! Have you seen people piecing fabrics on receipt paper?? ...yes! It's a thing! And its a great way to use those teeny tiny scraps without going crazy. We'll use receipt paper (thanks to a fun Cool People Scrap donor!!) as a base to build a scrap-happy quilt block together! You can later turn this into a full quilt, or celebrate this one block as a pillow, tote bag, or wall hanging! 

What you’ll learn: A fun new technique for easy piecing (you can also view this as an intro to Foundation Paper Piecing, since the mechanics of the technique are exactly the same! :) 

Who it’s for: Beginners to intermediate makers interested in fiber arts, paper crafts, mixed-media, and sustainable art practices. No prior quilting or sewing experience required!!
