T-Shirt Quilt with Laura!

Your t-shirts have stories. Let's turn them into a quilt! Come with a pile of shirts, leave with a quilt you'll treasure for years!

Got a drawer, closet, or entire bin full of t-shirts you can't bring yourself to throw out? In this 4-session class, you'll learn how to 16-30 favorite t-shirts into a one-of-a-kind quilt packed with memories, personality, and a whole lot less closet clutter. 

We'll walk you through the process from shirt to quilt top, including stabilizing your shirts, cutting your blocks, planning the layout and putting it all together. 

What's Included:

• 4 ninety minute classes
• Instructor-provided interfacing to stabilize the backs of your shirts
• Lots of help figuring out how to make all those different shirts work together

You'll Bring:

• 16-30 shirts
• Batting, backing fabric, and binding. We'll help you figure out how much you need after we construct the top. No need to bring these to the first class. 
• Backing fabric can be purchased at Cool People Sew if desired, or you can source on your own

There may be a little sewing homework between sessions. If you need extra time, you can book time during Open Studio for $15/90 minutes. 

Prerequisite:

This class is for sewists who have completed our Beginner Series or have similar sewing experience. You should be comfortable using a sewing machine and sewing basic seams.
